Medicare Advantage is offered by private insurance companies. These plans are also called Medicare Part C. This can give you the same benefits of Medicare Part A and Part B. Almost all of these plans have vision, dental, hearing, and prescription drug coverage included.
Medicare Advantage plans are network-based, similar to PPOs and HMOs. HMOs require you to use a doctor in network with few exceptions except emergencies. PPOs are priced higher because members have the option to go out of network.
With these plans, there are usually small or no premiums with fixed co-pays for regular services, which include doctors’ visits, lab visits, hospitalizations, outpatient surgery, and more.
We also assist qualified individuals in applying for additional Medicare benefits. These benefits are available from social security and Medicaid benefits through Healthy Connections.
Medicare Supplement plans, also called Medigap, are plans that help to cover the cost of medical bills not paid for by Medicare Parts A and B (Original Medicare). These supplement plans are accepted by any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare. Medicare Supplement plans are standardized by law, which says they will have the same letter name and coverage wherever you go.
Social Security Counseling is a free service available to anyone receiving Social Security Benefits. These counselors can help you with any questions you have, such as questions about healthcare benefits, food stamps, housing assistance, and more. This counseling is beneficial because it helps break down your specific situation and creates solutions specifically for you. The counselors can offer in depth information about Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicare or Medicaid, and more.
Health insurance plans can be offered by an employer or purchased by an individual. If your employer does not offer a health insurance plan, there are a variety of plans available. These plans range from basic to full coverage, including comprehensive benefits, such as vision, dental, and other healthcare options. These plans are chosen and paid for by the individual.
Some of the plans available are part of the Affordable Care Act. They can involve advanced premium tax credits available to qualified individuals, which will lower the cost of their monthly insurance costs and certain medical services.
Life Insurance helps keep your loved ones financially secure in the event that you pass away. There are a variety of plans you can choose from. One option is a whole life policy. This policy is higher in price, but has cash value and can be accessed at any point during the insured person’s life.
A different option is a universal life policy. Universal life policies have cash value and has a mix of fixed coverage with the option of premium payments.
Term life plans don’t have cash value and are only for a specific length of time. When the time is up, the policy must be renewed if the insured wants continued coverage.
The final expense policy helps pay for expenses such as funerals and other end of life costs. This plan is typically the least expensive.
Long Term Care Insurance policies reimburse you a daily amount (up to a pre-selected limit) for services to assist you with activities like bathing, dressing, or eating. You can select a range of care options and benefits that allow you to get the services you need, where you need them.
The cost of your long-term care policy is based on a variety of things, such as age, the amount the policy will pay, the length, and more.
